NAMES Command
BFN
is the file number of the open from the backup process. N/A is displayed if a
backup process does not exist or if a successful CHECKOPEN procedure call to the
backup process has not occurred.
PROTOCOL
is the protocol interface being used by the opener process. APPL is displayed if the
opener process is a transaction program. SPI is displayed if the opener process is
using the Subsystem Programmatic Interface. SPI is a protocol used by Distributed
Systems Management (DSM) applications.
NAMES Command
The NAMES command displays the names of all of the objects that have the specified
object type.
NAMES is a nonsensitive command.

Considerations

The NAMES command is equivalent to the LISTOBJECTS SPI command (see the
SNAX/APC Management Programming Manual).
•
With one exception, the NAMES command does not support the SUB parameter.
The exception is SUB ALL when used with the PROCESS object type.
•
If you do not specify an object type with the NAMES command, the command
returns all of the objects associated with the specified process.
