STATS Command
Considerations
To start the TPN object named %06F1% (the CNOS transaction program TPN), you
must explicitly enter the name %06F1%; wild-card characters have no effect.
The TPN object named %06F1% is started automatically when the LU is started.
If you stop the TPN object named %06F1%, you need to issue an explicit START
TPN %06F1% command before any CNOS commands can be exchanged.
If the TPN object is not started, remote ATTACH requests are rejected with sense
data %H084C0000 (Transaction Program Not Available–No Retry).
Example
-> ASSUME PROCESS $APC1
-> START TPN LU01.ACCT1
STATS Command
SNAX/APC statistics gives you a general indication of how the SNAX/APC process is
performing. SNAX/APC collects statistics on the number of inbound and outbound
basic information units (BIUs) and bytes of data sent between LUs; the number of
CNOS verbs processed by a particular PTNR-MODE object; the number of
conversation verbs processed by a particular session; and various statistics about the
process itself.
The STATS command displays the current value of the statistical counters for the target
object, and optionally resets all counters.
STATS is a sensitive command when used with the RESET option and a nonsensitive
command when the RESET option is not used.
