STOP LU Command
Object Specification
The object specification for the SNAX/APC STOP command is:
Consideration
•
The STOP PTNR-MODE and STOP SESSION commands support a set of attributes
in addition to the SEL and SUB parameters.
•
Only the TPN and PTNR-MODE objects can be stopped when their subordinate
objects are not in the STOPPED state.
•
An object can be stopped while it is in the STARTING state, except for the
PTNR-MODE object when it is waiting for its CNOS
(INITIALIZE_SESSION_LIMIT) response from its partner LU.
•
The SNAXRETRYCOUNT attribute is set to 0 after the target LU is stopped.
STOP LU Command
The STOP LU command shuts down the operation of the specified LU in an orderly
manner, places it in the STOPPED state, and issues a CLOSE request to its underlying
access method.
Example
-> ASSUME PROCESS $APC1
-> STOP PTNR-MODE LU01.*
-> STOP LU LU01
STOP PTNR-LU Command
The STOP PTNR-LU command shuts down the specified partner LU in an orderly
manner. If the LU is a parallel-session LU, it shuts down its subordinate partner mode
SNASVCMG (if it has not already been stopped).
Example
-> ASSUME PROCESS $APC1
