STOP PTNR-MODE Command
STOP PTNR-MODE Command
The STOP PTNR-MODE command issues a CHANGE_SESSION_LIMIT CNOS verb
with the following parameter settings:
Upon receipt of a successful CNOS response, the specified PTNR-MODE object is
placed in STOPPED state. If a successful CNOS response is not received, the
PTNR-MODE object is returned to the STARTED state.
The attribute specification for the PTNR-MODE object of the SNAX/APC STOP
command consists of the following attribute name and value combinations:
DRAINSOURCE { YES | NO }
YES specifies that the local LU can satisfy queued allocation requests before
terminating the sessions. NO specifies that the local LU must terminate sessions
without satisfying allocation requests. NO is the default value.
DRAINTARGET { YES | NO }
YES specifies that the partner LU can satisfy queued allocation requests. NO
specifies that the partner LU must terminate sessions without satisfying allocation
requests. NO is the default value.
{ NORMAL | FORCE }
If FORCE is specified, a DEACTIVATE_SESSION session control verb with the
deactivation type CLEANUP is issued, which deactivates the session without
waiting for the conversations to complete.
If NORMAL is specified, a DEACTIVATE_SESSION session control verb with the
deactivation type NORMAL is issued which waits for conversations to complete
before deactivating the session. NORMAL is the default value.
