STOP SESSION Command
RESPONSIBLE { SOURCE | TARGET }
specifies the LU that is responsible for selecting and deactivating sessions, as a
result of a change that decreases the session limit or the maximum number of
contention-winner sessions for the source or target LU. This value is used as the
Responsible parameter of the CHANGE_SESSION_LIMIT CNOS verb.
SOURCE specifies that the local LU is responsible, while TARGET specifies that
the remote LU is responsible. This attribute can only be specified when the
PTNR-MODE object is in the STARTED state. SOURCE is the default value.
Considerations
•
The default value for RESPONSIBLE is SOURCE.
•
If DRAINSOURCE specifies YES, DRAIN_SOURCE_LU is set to TRUE;
otherwise, it is set to FALSE.
•
If DRAINTARGET specifies YES, DRAIN_TARGET_LU is set to TRUE;
otherwise, it is set to FALSE.
•
If FORCE is specified, FORCE is set to TRUE; otherwise, it is set to FALSE.
•
This command does not apply to the SNASVCMG PTNR-MODE if the wild card is
specified in the object name. SNASVCMG PTNR-MODE has to be explicitly
specified in a STOP (or ABORT) command. However, the STOP (or ABORT)
command does apply to the rest of the SNA-defined PTNR-MODEs (#DEFAULT,
#BATCH, #INTER, #BATCHSC, and #INTERSC). Only SNASVCMG
PTNR-MODE will be brought to a started state automatically. The rest of those
SNA-defined PTNR-MODE objects have to be brought up by the START command
or by remote LU’s CNOS requests.
Example
-> ASSUME PROCESS $APC1
-> STOP PTNR-MODE LU01.CICSLU62.LU62BIND
STOP SESSION Command
The STOP SESSION command deactivates the specified session.
The attribute specification for the SESSION object of the SNAX/APC STOP command
consists of the following attribute name and value combinations:
Considerations
•
If FORCE is specified, a DEACTIVATE_SESSION session control verb with the
deactivation type CLEANUP is issued, which deactivates the session without
waiting for the conversations to complete.
