Base and Option Sets Supported by SNAX/APC
SNAX/APC Configuration and Management Manual—138787
A-6
The following are descriptions of the option sets supported by SNAX/APC.
101 (MC) FLUSH verb. This option set allows a program to explicitly cause the LU to
flush its send buffer. A further description may be found in the SNAX/APC Application
Programming Manual.
102 MC-GET-ATTRIBUTES verb. This option set allows a program to obtain attributes
of a mapped conversation. (The similar verb for basic conversations is part of the base
set of verbs.) A further description may be found in the SNAX/APC Application
Programming Manual.
105 (MC) PREPARE-TO-RECEIVE verb. This option set allows a program to change
the conversation from Send state to Receive state, flush the LU’s send buffer and/or
request confirmation. A further description may be found in the SNAX/APC Application
Programming Manual.
106 RECEIVE-IMMEDIATE verb. This option set allows a program to receive
whatever information is available on a conversation without having to request posting of
the conversation. A further description may be found in the SNAX/APC Application
Programming Manual.
108 Sync Point Services. This option set allows all TPs processing a distributed
transaction to coordinate error recovery and maintain consistency amoung distributed
resources such as data bases. SNAX/APC, when licensed to use sync point, provides a
subset of the sync point services. The user must provide the remainder of the services as
discussed in the SNAX/APC Application Programming Manual.
109 Get TP name and instance identifier. This option set allows a program to request
information about the name and instance identifier for the TP issuing the verb.
SNAX/APC makes this information available through the SPI subsystem. See the
SNAX/APC Management Programming Manual for further details.
110 GET-TYPE verb. This option set allows a program that supports both basic and
mapped conversations to determine which category should be used with a particular
resource ID. A further description may be found in of the SNAX/APC Application
Programming Manual.
