SNAX/APC Errors

This subsection lists all of the SNAX/APC error messages.

Error 00001

Probable Cause. The SNAX/APC subsystem encountered an error during the

processing of an ADD SESSION command (which is equivalent to the

ACTIVATE_SESSION verb). The equivalent return code defined in the IBM

Transaction Programmer’s Reference Manual for LU 6.2 is RC-ACTIVATION-FAIL-

NO-RETRY.

This error indicates a permanent condition. This condition can occur if the session was

not activated because the session limit specified by the PTNR-MODE object for the

partner LU is set to 0, or it could be caused by a system-definition error or a session-

activation protocol error.

Recommended Action. The request should not be retried until the cause of the failure

has been determined and corrected. Check the EMS event log to identify the cause of

the failure.

Error 00002

Probable Cause. This error is similar to Error 00001; however, in this case the source

of the error is due to a temporary condition.

The equivalent return code defined in the IBM Transaction Programmer’s Reference

Manual for LU 6.2 is RC-ACTIVATION-FAIL-RETRY. The problem is usually caused

by a temporary lack of resources at either the local LU or the partner LU that prevents

the activation of the session.

Recommended Action. Retry the request.

Error 00003

Probable Cause. The SNAX/APC subsystem encountered an allocation error in the

processing of a CNOS-related command. The equivalent return code defined in the IBM

Transaction Programmer’s Reference Manual for LU 6.2 is ALLOCATION-ERROR.

This error indicates that the conversation could not be allocated due to a permanent

condition. This condition can occur if the session to be used by this conversation cannot

SNAXAPC 00001 The ADD SESSION command was rejected. Do not

retry until the condition is corrected.

SNAXAPC 00002 The ADD SESSION command was rejected due to an

error.

SNAXAPC 00003 ALLOCATE failed. Do not retry until the

condition is corrected.
