be activated because the session limit for the PTNR-MODE object is set to 0. The
condition can also occur if a system-definition error or session-activation protocol error
occurred before the conversation could be allocated.
Recommended Action. The request should not be retried until the cause of the failure
has been determined and corrected. Check the EMS event log to identify and correct the
problem.
Error 00004
Probable Cause. This error is similar to Error 00003; however, the condition that
caused this error may be temporary. The error condition indicates that the START,
STOP, ABORT, or ALTER operation on the PTNR-MODE object failed due to a failure
to allocate a CNOS conversation with the partner LU.
The error is equivalent to the error code ALLOCATION_ERROR, as defined in the IBM
Transaction Programmer’s Reference Manual for LU 6.2. This condition may be caused
by a temporary lack of resources at the local LU or the partner LU. It can also occur if
the session was deactivated by a session outage before the conversation could be
allocated.
Recommended Action. Retry the request.
Error 00005
Probable Cause. A CNOS conversation allocation failed because the remote CNOS
service transaction program was not available.
This error occurs when a START, STOP, ABORT, or ALTER operation on a PTNR-
MODE object fails because the remote CNOS service transaction program is not
available.
Recommended Action. Do not retry the request until the remote CNOS service
transaction program has been made available.
Error 00006
Probable Cause. An error condition prevented the successful exchange of the CNOS
request and reply, and the CNOS conversation either failed or was rejected by the
partner LU. The selection of the FORCE option forced the local LU to reset its partner-
mode session limit. The equivalent return code, as defined in the IBM Transaction
Programmer’s Reference Manual for LU 6.2, is OK - AS_FORCED.
SNAXAPC 00004 Operation failed. Retry the operation.
SNAXAPC 00005 Allocation error. The remote CNOS service TP
is
not available.
SNAXAPC 00006 The CNOS command was processed as a FORCED
option.
