Recommended Action. Change the MODENAME attribute in the ADD PTNR-MODE
command.
Error 00015
Probable Cause. Either the device type returned by the file specified in the
SNAXFILENAME attribute by the underlying access method is unknown to the
SNAX/APC subsystem, or the LU is a parallel session LU but the access method is not a
node type 2.1. This error is usually caused by a START LU command.
Recommended Action. Verify the underlying access method for the LU. Use the
ALTER LU command to specify an appropriate SNAXFILENAME for the local LU.
The access method addressed by SNAXFILENAME attribute must be SNAX/XF or
SNAX/CDF; and if the local LU is a parallel session LU, then the access method must
be SNAX/APN.
Error 00016
Probable Cause. An attempt to initialize or change a PTNR-MODE object’s session
limit by an ALTER PTNR-MODE or START PTNR-MODE command caused the total
session limit to exceed the local LU’s session limit.

If the connection to the remote LU is defined as single session, either the
PTNR-MODE object’s session limit is currently set to 0, or an LU-LU session is
already active (with the specified mode name or a different mode name).
•
If the connection to the remote LU is defined as parallel session, the sum of the
specified session limit and all of the other session limits under the same remote LU’s
connection exceeds the total session limit allowed for the LU connection. This sum
always includes two sessions for the CNOS conversations under the CNOS PTNR-
MODE SNASVCMG.
Recommended Action. Either decrement the remote PTNR-MODE object’s session
limits or reconfigure the LU for more capacity.
Error 00017
Probable Cause. An attempt to initiate a CNOS operation failed. This error usually
occurs when the MODENAME attribute specified in a START PTNR-MODE command
cannot be recognized by the remote LU (that is, the MODENAME attribute specified in
the PTNR-MODE object does not match the mode name of the remote (LU,mode)
entry). The equivalent return code defined in the IBM Transaction Programmer’s
Reference Manual for LU 6.2 is UNRECOGNIZED_MODE_NAME.
SNAXAPC 00015 An invalid device type was specified.
SNAXAPC 00016 LU session limit exceeded.
SNAXAPC 00017 Unrecognized modename.
