Configuration Parameters for SNAX/APC
The PARAMs for the SNAX/APC process are:
[ BACKUPCPU ] number
specifies the identity of the backup CPU. A value of -1 indicates that no backup is
to be initiated. The only other legal values are between 0 and 15. However, you
may not specify the same CPU number as the one in which the primary is currently
running.
This parameter may also be specified on the startup line without the keyword. Thus
the two parameter specifications:
BACKUPCPU 7, . . .
7, . . .
are equivalent. The abbreviated form is defined so that the conventional startup
sequence can be supported, as follows:
RUN APCOBJ/NAME $AL01, NOWAIT, CPU 1/2, and so on.
BACKUPDEBUG { TRUE | FALSE }
specifies whether the backup should be initiated with debugging (if set to TRUE).
Users should be careful in the use of this parameter since it defeats the normal non-
stop takeover attributes of the subsystem. This parameter is present to permit
developers to debug the backup process; it is not intended for general use The
default setting is FALSE.
