Configuring a Server Mechanism
A server mechanism must be considered at two levels, the lower level access method
such as SNAX/APN, and the higher level API such as SNAX/APC. If you are uncertain
of the APPN terminology or concepts, consult the SNAX/APN Configuration and
Management Manual for information on end node support.
Step One:
The process starts when the line handler receives a BIND from a remote LU. An
example might be a request from a high level transaction program such as CICS on an
IBM mainframe or AS/400. The BIND contains the name of the local LU to be
contacted, in this example LUA.
