ABORT Command
Commands and Responses

The ABORT PTNR-MODE command does the following:
1. Places the target PTNR-MODE object in the STOPPING state.
2. Issues a RESET_SESSION_LIMIT CNOS verb with the following settings:
LU_NAME = the superior PTNR-LU name
MODE_NAME = the target PTNR-MODE object’s attribute, mode-name
RESPONSIBLE = SOURCE
DRAIN_SOURCE = NO
DRAIN_TARGET = NO
FORCE = YES
3. Upon completion of the RESET_SESSION_LIMIT CNOS verb, the specified
PTNR-MODE object is placed in the STOPPED state.
4. As a result, all of the subordinate SESS objects (sessions) are deactivated
without draining any requests.
The reserved PTNR-MODE object name SNASVCMG is automatically aborted
immediately after its parent PTNR-LU object is aborted if it is not already in the
STOPPED state. (It is not necessary to abort the PTNR-MODE object SNASVCMG
explicitly.)
Both the ZAPC-TKN-CUR-MAXINRUSIZE and ZAPC-TKN-CUR-
MAXOUTRUSIZE tokens in the INFO PTNR-MODE command are set to 0 after
the PTNR-MODE object is aborted.
The SNASVCMG object name must be explicitly specified in the ZCOM-TKN-
OBJNAME to abort the PTNR-MODE object named SNASVCMG. The wild-card
character (*) affects all PTNR-MODE objects except the PTNR-MODE object
SNASVCMG; the same rule applies to the SUB modifier.
The ABORT SESS command deactivates the specified session. As a result, the
specified session, as well as the conversation using the session, is deleted from the
subsystem. A DEACTIVATE_SESSION is issued on behalf of the ABORT SESS
command; consequently, an UNBIND SNA command is sent to the partner LU.
The ABORT TPN command inhibits the further use of the target TPN object. As a
result, the TPN no longer accepts TP-READY from transaction programs. Remote
Attach requests addressed to the target TPN object are rejected with sense data
%H084C0000 (transaction program not available-no retry).
The ABORT TPN command does not affect any of its subordinate conversations
(CONVERSATION objects); however, it prohibits new conversations from
starting. The ABORT TPN command can be issued regardless of the current states
of its subordinate objects.
