ADD PTNR-MODE
Commands and Responses
5–20 111813 Tandem Computers Incorporated
ZAPC–TKN–D-MIN-CONWINNERS-LIM
specifies the number of sessions that the local LU is designated to be the
contention winner.
ZAPC–TKN–D-SESS-LIM
specifies the default maximum number of sessions that the PTNR-MODE object
can have.
ZAPC–TKN–RCV-PACING-WINDOW
specifies the size of the receive pacing window.
ZAPC–TKN–SEND-PACING-WINDOW
specifies the size of the send pacing window. The value 0 implies that there is no
pacing on sessions established by a local LU sending a BIND request.
Operational Notes
The default values for the optional tokens are:
ZAPC-TKN-D-SESS-LIM = 1
ZAPC-TKN-D-MAXINRUSIZE = MAXINRUSIZE value of process startup or
256
ZAPC-TKN-D-MAXOUTRUSIZE = MAXOUTRUSIZE value of process
startup or 256
ZAPC-TKN-D-MIN-CONWINNERS-LIM = 1
ZAPC-TKN-D-MIN-CONLOSERS-LIM = 0
ZAPC-TKN-AUTO-ACTIVATE-LIM = 0
ZAPC-TKN-RCV-PACING-WINDOW = 0
ZAPC-TKN-SEND-PACING-WINDOW = 0
The tokens ZAPC-TKN-D-SESS-LIM, ZAPC-TKN-D-MIN-CONWINNERS-LIM,
and ZAPC-TKN-D-MIN-CONLOSERS-LIM define the default session limits for
the specified PTNR-MODE object. These values are used as the parameter settings
when the INITIALIZE_SESSION_LIMIT CNOS verb is issued (as a result of
START PTNR-MODE command). These three attributes can be altered only when
the PTNR-MODE object is in the STOPPED state.
If both the local and remote LUs are parallel-session LUs, the PTNR-MODE object
named SNASVCMG is automatically added to the PTNR-LU object immediately
after the PTNR-LU is added. A subsequent attempt to add this object name is
rejected with the error ZCOM-ERR-OBJ-ALREADY-DEF.
