Definitions Used by
SNAX/APC
Definitions whose symbolic names begin with the characters ZEMS- are Event
Management Service (EMS) standard definitions.
Table 4-2 lists all the EMS standard definitions used in the token-oriented
programmatic interface to SNAX/APC. These definitions consist of simple tokens
used in SNAX/APC event messages and header tokens available to all applications
using EMS.

All EMS standard definitions are fully described in the SPI Programming Manual.
Information about these definitions that is specific to the SNAX/APC subsystem is
given below.
ZEMS-TKN-CONSOLE-PRINT
always contains the value ZSPI-VAL-TRUE, indicating that SNAX/APC event
messages are displayed on the operator console controlled by the compatibility
distributor ($Z0).
ZEMS-TKN-EMPHASIS
indicates whether the event is potentially critical. The Boolean value ZSPI-VAL-
FALSE indicates a noncritical event.
ZEMS-TKN-EVENTNUMBER
contains the event number of a SNAX/APC event message. These event numbers
and their associated event messages are described in Section 6, “Operator
Messages.”
