ZAPC-TKN-SNA-NAME
specifies the name of the LU as it is known by the partner system. It can be up to
17 characters, if entered in the form:
[
net-id
.]
LU-name
where
net-id
is up to 8 characters long and
LU-name
is either a local or partner
LU name that is up to 8 characters long. If the partner system changes its name for
the local LU, you can change the value of this attribute without affecting the local
transaction program.
The
net-id
name value is the network identifier of a fully-qualified SNA partner
LU or local LU name. If you are a local LU and are using SNAX/APN, the
net-
id
name value has to match the SNANETID attribute, which is a required
attribute of the SNAX/APN SUBSYS object.
The SNA-NAME token has the token type ZSPI-TYP-STRING. The programmatic
commands that use this token include ZCOM-CMD-ADD, ZCOM-CMD-ALTER,
and ZCOM-CMD-INFO. The valid object types for this token are LU and
PTNR-LU.
When the SNA-NAME token is specified for the LU or PTNR-LU object, the value
in the token must match the name by which this resource is known to the remote
system.
The value of this token must also match the SNANAME specified in the access
method, as identified by the ZAPC-TKN-SNAX-FILE-NAME token for the
configuration of the LU (or remote LU). The value of the SNA-NAME token is
used for building SNA requests (such as BIND).
When used with ZCOM-CMD-ADD, this is a required token, and there is no
default value. This token is always returned in the ZCOM-CMD-INFO response
buffer.
