SLU Initiates Termination of Session

An SLU can initiate session termination by sending an UNBIND request, a

TERM-SELF request, or character-coded logoff request. A TERM-SELF request or

character-coded logoff request sent by a Tandem application will be intercepted by

SNALU, and a TERM-SELF request or character-coded logoff request sent by a remote

LU will be intercepted by VTAM. In both cases, two UNBIND requests are generated

(one sent to the PLU, one sent to the SLU). A SNAX/APN SNALU application will

only detect an UNBIND request, never a CTERM request as with SNAX/XF or

SNAX/CDF.
