Migrating Applications From
SNAX/XF and SNAX/CDF
to SNAX/APN
This appendix covers what you need to know when migrating a SNAX/XF or
SNAX/CDF application to SNAX/APN. For more information on SNAX/XF and
SNAX/CDF, refer to the SNAX/XF Application Programming Manual and the
SNAX/CDF Application Programming Manual, respectively.
How SNAX/APN Differs From SNAX/XF and
SNAX/CDF
Following are the key compatibility issues that must be addressed in order to make
SNALU under SNAX/APN compatible when migrating from SNAX/XF or SNAX/CDF.
WRITEREAD Request Differences
A WRITEREAD request with the LUNS bit set in the SNAX/APN header is rejected
with a file-system return code 2 unless it is one of the following:
INIT-SELF request
TERM-SELF request
CINIT response
NSPE response
NOTIFY response
Note. In order for INIT-SELF and TERM-SELF requests to be properly processed, both the
TLOGMGR and Tandem Logon Manager for IBM Systems (ILOGMGR) must be in an LU-LU
session.
