Running the Application
Prototyping System (APS)
Before running APS, ensure that the appropriate SNAX/HLS process is running. The
examples in this section assume that the SNAX/HLS process name is $HLS and that
the SNAX/HLS process server-class name is HLS.
Next, ensure that the Pathway environment is running. Do this by entering the
following command to TACL:
>HLSRUN
xxx
where
xxx
is the three-character name (for example, HLS) of the SNAX/HLS process
server class. The particulars of the HLSRUN macro are described in the SNAX/HLS
Configuration and Control Manual.
Once the Pathway environment is started, enter the following commands to start an
APS requester on your terminal:
>PATHCOM $xxxP; RUN APS
The SNAX/HLS logon screen is displayed on your terminal. Press any function key
except shifted F16 to continue.
