Examine the OPEN-SESSION request screen in Figure 6-2. The screen is divided into
two overlays. APS uses reverse video to divide the screen.
The composition of the screen is as follows:
Line 1 Shows the banner line in reverse video. It serves to identify the program.
The extreme right edge contains the version identifier for the product.
Line 3 Shows the name of the verb request, the session ID, and, where relevant,
the completion mode.
Lines 4-7 Contain verb-request details.
Line 8 Shows the name of the verb reply in reverse video.
Lines 9-20 Contain verb-reply details.
Line 21 Contains advisories in reverse video.
Terminal Function Keys
Screen lines 22, 23, and 24 identify the terminal function keys used in APS operations:
Line 22 Lists the names of Tandem terminal function keys (for example, F1, F2).
