To execute this verb in an APS session, display the request screen by pressing shifted
F3, enter APPLICATION-NAME, and verification parameters, and press the SEND
function key (F12) to cause SNAX/HLS to open the session.
HLS-OPEN Request Screen Description
SESSION-ID
Is the session ID of the current APS session. This field is assigned automatically by
APS and is not modifiable by the APS user.
Completion Mode
Specifies how the verb is to be completed. In this field you must place I, Q, or W.
I selects the immediate completion mode. This directs SNAX/HLS to
perform the requested operation but not to involve SNAX in any way.
Successful completion of this form of the HLS-OPEN request indicates that the
session was already open.
