System Error
Is a computational qualifier for RETURN-CODE. This screen line displays the
SYSTEM-ERROR-CODE value of the verb reply—first in decimal, next in
hexadecimal, and followed by text.
If RETURN-CODE is RC-SYNTAX-ERROR, the SYSTEM-ERROR-CODE indicates
the ordinal position of the parameter in error discounting the verb code and
session ID. If the verb causes an SNA negative response from the session
partner, the first two bytes of the negative response are returned here.
User Error
Is a computational qualifier for SYSTEM-ERROR-CODE. At present, this field is
used only for the last two bytes of negative SNA responses and LUSTAT
messages. The screen line displays the field first in decimal and next in
hexadecimal.
Retry Action
Indicates whether an unsuccessful request should be retried. The screen line
displays the decimal value for this indicator followed by text.
Send Sequence No
If sequence number verification is in effect (see request section), this field returns
the value of the send sequence number as known by the session partner. If RC-OK
is returned on verb completion, this field should agree with the send sequence on
the verb request. If RC-VERIFY-FAILURE is returned, this field indicates the
session partner’s value for send sequence message number. If RC-VERIFY-
FAILURE is encountered, the session might or might not be active.
Rcv Sequence No
If sequence-number verification is in effect (see request section), this field returns
the value of the receive sequence number as known by the session partner. If RC-
OK is returned on verb completion, this field should agree with the receive
sequence on the verb request. If RC-VERIFY-FAILURE is returned, this field
indicates the session partner’s value for the receive sequence message number. If
RC-VERIFY-FAILURE is encountered, the session might or might not be active.
Application Name
Indicates the primary LU name that was specified on the BIND that started the
session. For secondary LUs, this name might not agree with the application name
you requested.
