RECEIVECONTROL Verb
Application Prototyping and Simulation (APS) System
6–42 104707 Tandem Computers Incorporated
This message implies that your partner is waiting for an RTR message
before it tries to send the transaction again.
bind_cinit_data
This provides the information conveyed on the BIND or CINIT message that
began the session. It enables your application to examine the user-data field.
You see this data message only if the WANT-BIND-DATA PROFILE attribute
is set to USER-DATA or ALL.
flow_control
This indicates that one of the flow-control messages has been received. You
see this only if receipt of flow-control messages is enabled. The data portion
contains two characters, as follows:
RT Resume sending new transactions (SNA RTR)
SM Stop sending new messages (SNA QEC)
QM Message sending quiesced (SNA QC)
RM Resume sending messages (SNA RELQ)
fm_header
The message received from the session partner contains a Function
Management Header (FMH). The FMH usually contains binary data that can
be replaced by periods (.) if the binary data is non-display characters.
interrupt_request
The message is an operator message. The message is not from the session
partner, but from another SNAX/HLS requester using the QMSG facility of
the command interface.
lu_status
The message is a status message from the session partner (an SNA LUSTAT
message).
The hexadecimal display to the right of the data area provides a
convenient display of the actual status bytes.
message_cancelled
The session partner has cancelled the current message. This value can be
received only if LMO is in effect. The previously received message fragments
are to be discarded.
prepared_to_close
The session partner is prepared to terminate the session in an orderly fashion.
You are expected to issue a PREPARE-TO-CLOSE verb.
