DATA Verb (F9)
The SEND-AND-RECEIVE-DATA request is a composite verb. Following are the
request functions:
A SEND-DATA screen is presented to the APS user.
The APS user enters all appropriate parameters for the SEND-DATA request.
The SEND (F12) function is executed to send the request to the SNAX/HLS server
for execution.
The SNAX/HLS server executes the equivalent of a SEND-DATA verb and queues
a RECEIVE-DATA verb on behalf of the APS user.
The APS screen is locked until the RECEIVE-DATA portion of the request is
completed. This usually occurs when data is received from a session partner.
This verb is furnished to enhance the performance of SNAX/HLS applications. Users
are encouraged to incorporate this verb into SNAX/HLS applications.
