E Verb (F6)
REQUEST-SEND-STATE causes SNAX/HLS to send the SNA message SIG that
requests the session partner to enter receive state so that the sender of SIG can send
data. Use this verb when you have entered receive state but wish to transmit data to
the session partner. You must wait until the ESS indicator is set to Y on a RECEIVE-
DATA verb before sending data.
To issue a REQUEST-SEND-STATE verb, simply press F6 and then F12 to send the
verb.

REQUEST-SEND-STATE Request Screen Description
SESSION-ID
Is session ID of the current APS session. This field is assigned automatically by
APS and is not modifiable by the APS user.
REQUEST-SEND-STATE Reply Screen Description
Return Code
Displays the value of the verb reply RETURN-CODE in decimal followed by text.
