Because data elements are delivered in the replies to receive–type verbs without
regard to the requester, the following restrictions also apply:
If a RECEIVE–CONTROL verb completes and informs the requester that a data
element is on the queue, the data may already have been delivered to another
requester by the time the requester can issue a RECEIVE–DATA verb in response
to the RECEIVE–CONTROL verb notification.
The RECEIVE–CONTROL–WAIT verb is not allowed on pipelined sessions. It is
rejected with a return code of RC–INVALID–VERB.
