GET-ATTRIBUTES
Verb
The GET–ATTRIBUTES verb returns information about the current values of PROFILE
attributes and BIND attributes for the requested SESSION–ID. The purpose of this
verb is to allow users of SNAX/HLS to inquire and dynamically set (by means of
SET–ATTRIBUTES verb) certain PROFILE attributes.
Two types of request are defined:
Request type 1 allows a user to inquire about the value of PROFILE attributes.
Request type 2 allows information from the session BIND to be retrieved. For
example, under LMO processing, the user could retrieve the MAXRU settings to
determine the maximum user data length allowed for a single SEND–DATA or
RECEIVE–DATA verb.
