Parameters
Table 5-1 lists and briefly defines the SNAX/HLS configuration parameters. A
detailed description of each parameter follows the table.

Parameter Description
* ABEND^ON^ERROR Specifies use of the DEBUGONERROR option.
BACKUPCPU Specifies the identity of the backup CPU.
BACKUPDEBUG Specifies whether or not the backup should be initiated with debugging.
* BACKUP^CPU Specifies the use of BACKUPCPU.
CHARMAPFILE Names the charactermap file.
CHARMAPNAME Names the default charactermap for the SNAX/HLS process.
COLLECTOR Specifies the name of the primary EMS collector.
COLLECTOR-1 Specifies alternate EMS collector number 1.
COLLECTOR-2 Specifies alternate EMS collector number 2.
COLLECTOR-3 Specifies alternate EMS collector number 3.
DATAPAGES Specifies the total amount of storage.
* DATA^SEG^SIZE Specifies the use of the DATAPAGES option.
DEBUGONERROR Specifies what action is to be taken when a fatal error is detected.
* DEBUG^BACKUP Specifies the use of the BACKUPDEGUG option.
INITIAL^TRACE Establishes the tracing defaults.
LOG Specifies the log file for SNAX/HLS.
LOGFILE Is an alternative to the parameter LOG.
MAX^LUS Specifies the maximum number of sessions.
MAX^POCB Specifies the number of openers.
RECEIVEDEPTH Specifies number of entries reserved for incoming messages on
$RECEIVE.
RECV^LCBS Reserved.
SEND^LCBS Reserved.
SSCPTEXTSIZE Specifies the maximum length of unformatted messages that can be
handled on the SSCP-LU flow.
SWAPVOL Specifies the name of the disk that will be used for swapping extended
memory.
TWOSTEP Controls when two-step reads will be used to SNAX/XF or SNAX/CDF.
* These parameters are retained for compatibility with earlier versions of SNAX/HLS. The suggested
alternate should be used since many products other than SNAX/HLS use the same parameter names.
ABEND^ON^ERROR. Is retained for compatibility with earlier versions of SNAX/HLS.
Users are encouraged to use the DEBUGONERROR parameter instead. However,
note that the sense of the option is reversed:
ABEND^ON^ERROR YES is equivalent to DEBUGONERROR NO
