Tokens in Command Buffer
The tokens in the command buffer sent by the SWITCH PROCESS command are
described in Section 6, “Common Definitions.”
ZCOM–TKN–SWITCH–CPU
contains the number of the CPU in which the backup process is running.
Tokens in Response Buffer
The tokens in the buffer received in response to a SWITCH PROCESS command are
described in Section 6, “Common Definitions.”
Operational Notes
The SWITCH PROCESS command is rejected if no backup process is running or if
the CPU number specified in the command does not match that in which the
backup process is running.
Because this command causes the loss of session traffic on all sessions, maximum
security is required; that is, the requester must either be a member of the
SUPER.SUPER user group or have the same ID as the SNAX/HLS process itself.
Because of potential timing and race conditions, the activation of the backup
process cannot be guaranteed.
This command causes a planned takeover and resets the takeover counter whose
value is returned in the ZCMK–TKN–TKOVER–CNT token inside the STATUS
PROCESS response.
