Tokens in Command Buffer
The tokens in the command buffer sent by the TELL SESSION command are described
in Section 6, “Common Definitions.”
ZHLS–TKN–TELL–TEXT
contains the text to be delivered to the target sessions.
Tokens in Response Buffer
The tokens in the buffer received in response to a TELL SESSION command are
described in Section 6, “Common Definitions.”
Operational Notes
The request is considered complete when the specified text has been enqueued to
the session. Eventual delivery depends on other factors such as component
survival and appropriate application protocol.
The application receives the message on a subsequent RECEIVE–DATA verb. The
message is identified by the data type DT–INTERRUPT–MESSAGE. No character
conversions are performed on the text; that is, the identical message is delivered
independently of the setting of the TRANSLATE PROFILE attribute for the
session.
The delivery of the message involves the application interface, not the
control–and–inquiry interface. For details of this interface and an explanation of
