ZBRKT–TERM
specifies how brackets are terminated. The ZHLS–VAL–BRKT–TERM–UNCOND
value indicates that brackets are terminated regardless of the response to the chain
bearing the end brackets indicator. This value is also used when brackets are not
used. In IBM documentation, this is also known as bracket termination rule 2.
The ZHLS–VAL–BRKT–TERM–COND value indicates that brackets are terminated on
definite response chains bearing the end brackets indicator only if a positive
response is generated. In IBM documentation, this is also known as bracket
termination rule 1.
This value is set by the BIND message and is meaningless before the BIND
message flows.
This field can have the following enumerated values:
ZHLS–VAL–BRKT–TERM–COND
specifies that bracket termination follows rule 1.
ZHLS–VAL–BRKT–TERM–UNCOND
specifies that bracket termination follows rule 2.
ZCONT–WINNER
specifies which partner, in a half–duplex contention session, wins a contention for
the right to speak first. This also selects the bracket first–speaker. This value is
established when the BIND record is processed.
This field can have the following enumerated values:
ZHLS–VAL–HS–PLRTY–PRIM
indicates that the primary half session wins contentions.
ZHLS–VAL–HS–PLRTY–SEC
indicates that the secondary half session wins contentions.
ZENCODE–ERI
specifies whether the ERI is encoded in the receive–type verb responses. If set to
ZSPI–VAL–FALSE, the ERI indicator on inbound FMD data is not visible to the
application. This facility should be enabled for IMS applications. This value is set
in the PROFILE.
ZFM–HDR–USE
specifies whether FMHs are used in this session. This value is set when the BIND
record is processed. The correct setting of this field is determined by the
application–level protocol. FMHs are typically used on sessions involving LU
session type 1, where they convey control information.
