SNAX High-Level Support (SNAX/HLS) software provides a simple application
programming interface for Tandem application programs to communicate with
Systems Network Architecture (SNA) devices and SNA host software.
SNAX/HLS can be managed programmatically using the Subsystem Programmatic
Interface (SPI) and the Event Management Service (EMS). This manual provides
subsystem–specific information about these programmatic management interfaces to
SNAX/HLS. It includes the following information:
Definitions of the SNAX/HLS subsystem
Detailed descriptions of all programmatic commands that can be sent to
SNAX/HLS and the corresponding responses
Detailed descriptions of all event messages related to SNAX/HLS
Detailed descriptions of all errors that can be returned by SNAX/HLS
Examples (in TAL) that illustrate issuing commands, retrieving responses, and
handling events.
Audience This manual is for individuals writing network management applications that manage
SNAX/HLS.
