Configuring for PLU Accept Using XLF
Configuring for PLU Accept Using XLF
PLU accept means allowing remote SLUs (such as SNA devices) to logon to PLU
applications on the NonStop system.
For SNAX/APN XLF, PLU accept requires one or more HP NonStop Logon Managers
for IBM Systems (ILOGMGR) running in SNA hosts. The ILOGMGRs forward logon
requests to the NonStop system by communicating with one or more TLOGMGRs (a
component of the SNAX/APN line handler).
For the CRT and ITI protocols, you use SNAX Creator-2 to start NonStop applications
automatically. For the SNALU protocol, the NonStop applications must be started
explicitly.
PLU accept requires the following types of configuration:
SNAX Creator-2 configuration (if used)
SNAX/APN configuration
ILOGMGR control file definition
VTAM and NCP definitions
You should have performed Tasks 1 through 3 of Configuration Quick Start on
page 1-1.
Notes.
1. In the spooler configuration, the DEVTYPE is LU1 for printers using the SNA character
string or LU3 for printers using the SNA 3270 data stream.
2. The SNAX/APN remote LU has the attribute PROTOCOL CRT because PSPOOLB
operates in block mode.
3. The following examples illustrate some commands that could be used to send NonStop
files (named DOC1, TEXTFILE, and MYAPPL) to the IBM printer:
FUP COPY DOC1, $S.#P3287
TGAL /IN TEXTFILE, OUT $S.#P3287/
RUN MYAPPL /OUT $S.#P3287/
4. For more information about the PSPOOLB print process, see the Spooler Utilities
Reference Manual and the Spooler Programmer’s Guide.
