States for APPL Objects
States for APPL Objects
APPL objects have a different set of states than do other types of SNAX/XF and
SNAX/APN objects. The following paragraphs define the states that apply to APPL
objects.
CONNECTED
For SNAX/XF, an APPL object is in the CONNECTED state if an application has
successfully established a connection to it, including password verification if necessary.
In the SNAX/APN environment, an APPL object is in the CONNECTED state if the
SNAX Creator-2 application has successfully established a connection to it.
INACTIVE
An APPL object is in the INACTIVE state if it has been successfully added with the
ADD command but has not yet been opened.
OPENED
An APPL object is in the OPENED state if an application has successfully opened it.
States for Other Types of Objects
Table 12-1 on page 12-12 shows which of these states can apply to each type of
object. For PUs and LUs, the set of applicable states depends on whether the object is
local or remote. SESSION and PROCESS objects have only one possible state:
STARTED.
