AGGREGATE Command
AGGREGATE Command
The AGGREGATE command retrieves counts of active and defined objects
subordinate to the specified object. It is a nonsensitive command.
OUT file-spec
causes any SCF output generated for this command to be directed to the specified
file. file-spec must be a partially or fully qualified file name. If this option is not
specified, the output is sent to the home terminal.
object-name
is the name of the object whose subordinate objects are to be counted.
Considerations
The specified object is not included in the counts; only its subordinate objects are
counted.
If the object type is SUBSYS, then a count of switched floating PUs and LUs is
accumulated along with the counts for PUs and LUs that are subordinate to lines.
If the SNAX/XF object type is LINE or PU, switched floating PUs and LUs are not
counted.
If the SNAX/APN object type is LINE, the following SNAX/APN objects are
counted: local LUs, remote LUs, remote PUs, and the local PU #ZNT21.
If the object type is PU and object-name is #ZNT21, a count of all subordinate
local LUs is accumulated.
If the object type is PU and object-name is the name of a remote PU, a count of
all subordinate remote LUs is accumulated.
Aggregate counts are returned for LINE, PU, and LU objects only.
Examples
The following examples illustrate the AGGREGATE command as applied to the LINE,
PU, and SUBSYS objects.
