STATUS Command
SEL [ NOT ] state
directs the command to provide information only about objects in the specified
state (if NOT is omitted) or only about objects not in the specified state (if NOT is
specified).
Valid states for APPL objects are INACTIVE, OPENED, and CONNECTED. Valid
states for other types of objects are ABORTING, DEFINED, DIAGNOSING,
STARTED, STARTING, STOPPED, STOPPING, SUSPENDED, SUSPENDING,
and UNKNOWN. The object states are described in Section 12, Objects for
SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN.
[, info-item-name ]...
causes the values of only the specified information items to be displayed. The
information items that you can specify are listed in Table 13-3. If you do not specify
any info-item-names, the display shows the values of all STATUS information
items for the object.
Considerations for SNAX/APN
When applied to the TLOGMGR LU, the STATUS command returns session
information for the sessions between the TLOGMGR LU and ILOGMGR LUs.
Because configured LUs on an IBM system are named by their SNA names, it is
sometimes useful to be able to address these LUs by their SNA names rather than
by the subdevice names specified on the NonStop node. An example is when one
of the 500 terminals connected to the IBM host is hung and must be aborted, but
only its SNA name is known.
Therefore, the STATUS LU command for SNAX/APN accepts either a subdevice
name specified on the NonStop node or an SNA name to identify an LU object.
The SNA name is the value of the SNANAME attribute described in Section 14,
Attributes for SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN; for remote LU objects, it matches the
definition of the corresponding LU in the IBM configuration.
The SCF interface to the SNAX/APN service manager treats all LU names entered
without the leading pound sign (#) as SNA name input (names entered with the
leading # are treated as NonStop subdevice names). The # is, however, one of the
valid characters for an SNA name. Therefore, when the SNA name is specified in
the STATUS LU command, the value specified cannot have a # as its leading
character.
Examples
Example STATUS displays for each object type are shown on the following pages. If an
information item in the display does not apply to the specified object, N/A is displayed
in place of the value.
