STOP Command
STOP Command
The STOP command terminates the activity of one or more objects. It is a sensitive
command.
OUT file-spec
causes any SCF output generated for this command to be directed to the specified
file. file-spec must be a partially or fully qualified file name. If this option is not
specified, the output is sent to the home terminal.
object-name
is the name of an object to be stopped.
{ ORDERLY | FORCED }
causes the STOP option to be rejected by the SNAX SCF product module and
ignored by the SPI interface to SNAX for all objects except SNAX/APN sessions.
For SNAX/APN sessions, the FORCED option must be specified. For all other
objects, including SNAX/XF sessions, the default action (ORDERLY) is always
taken.
SUB [ subtype ]
selects the subordinate objects the command affects. subtype can be a
subordinate object type or one of the keywords ONLY, ALL, or NONE.
If a subordinate object type is named, only objects of that type are affected. ONLY
specifies that only the subordinate objects are affected. ALL specifies that the
named object and the subordinate objects are affected. NONE specifies that the
named object is affected but none of the subordinate objects are affected. If
subtype is omitted, ALL is assumed.
The SUB option is required for the SUBSYS object, and is not valid for SESSION
objects.
