TRACE Command
SELECT select-spec
specifies the types of trace records to be collected. If ALL is specified, all trace
records for the specified line or service manager are included. If SELECT is not
specified, the default value of ALL is assumed. The select-spec is one of the
following specifications:
{ keyword... }
{ ( keyword [, keyword ]... ) }
{ number... }
{ ( number [, number ]...) }
The first two specifications name a keyword or list of keywords identifying one
or more groups of record types to collect. The last two specifications designate
one or more integers corresponding to the keywords. The keywords and their
corresponding numbers depend on the device type and subtype being traced,
and are described under “SELECT Options” later in this command description.
SESSIONSELECT (for SNAX/APN only)
is used to capture information about specific LU-LU sessions on the LINE object
being traced. For the types of information that can be captured (traced) selectively,
see SELECT Options on page 13-135.
PUSELECT, LUSELECT, and SESSIONSELECT can be specified for the same
trace. When one or more of these options are specified, information that can be
selectively captured will be captured only for the specified objects.
Any PUs, LUs, or sessions selected in previous TRACE commands for that line
continue to be selected along with the new PUs, LUs, and sessions, until they are
deselected with the OFF option or until the trace stops.
This option is valid only for the LINE object type, and the specified sessions must
be subordinate to that LINE object.
ALL
specifies that all sessions active on the specified LINE object are to be traced.
s-name
specifies a particular session to be traced. Sessions are identified by a 16-digit
fully qualified procedure correlation identifier (FQPCID). In the
SESSIONSELECT option, the FQPCID must be specified in the form
%Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
You can obtain FQPCIDs by issuing a NAMES LU, SUB ALL or a NAMES LU,
SUB SESSION command. The resulting display lists the FQPCIDs for all the
sessions subordinate to the specified LU.
