Attributes for SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN

ADDRESS (PU objects)
The ADDRESS attribute is required for the LU object type.
ADDRESS (PU objects)
For a PU object on line types 58,3 (X.25) or 58,5 (SDLC), ADDRESS specifies the
SDLC address of the link station (PU). For PUs attached to primary lines of these
types, the value must match the physical SDLC address assigned to the secondary
PU. For PUs on secondary lines of these types, the PU address must match a
corresponding PU address on a primary line. (If the primary PU is attached to an IBM
host, this corresponding PU address is the ADDR value specified in the host NCP
system generation.)
When using lines of these types with SNAX/APN, when the STATION attribute for the
LINE object is specified as PRIMARY or allowed to default to PRIMARY, ADDRESS
must specify the SDLC address of the link station of the adjacent node. When the
STATION attribute is specified as either SECONDARY or NEGOTIABLE for these line
types, this attribute must specify the SDLC address of the local link station on the
NonStop system.
For multipoint configurations where the NonStop LEN node serves as the primary link
station, the ADDRESS attribute of each remote PU object configured through SCF
should specify the SDLC address of the node to which that PU object corresponds.
The ADDRESS attribute is required for all PU objects. The value you specify for the
ADDRESS attribute must be unique among all PUs subordinate to a line.
ALLOWEDMIX - for SNAX/XF Only
ALLOWEDMIX specifies the maximum number of Kanji subfields that are allowed in
one screen or printer field. The PRT and ITI protocol translation routines use the value
specified by this attribute to calculate the size of the outbound buffer destined for a
Katakana terminal. Only those devices that allow a mixture of double-byte and single-
byte data within one field should have ALLOWEDMIX specified.
The valid range of values is 1 through 45. If the value defined for the DBCS attribute is
IBMKANJI, the default value for the ALLOWEDMIX attribute is 1. Always use this value
Default: None
