BINDTABLE
If the BINDENTRY attribute is specified for a LINE object or a PU object, all acquired
remote LUs subordinate to that line or PU use that BIND image, unless the
BINDENTRY attribute was specified for a particular LU. If the BINDENTRY attribute is
specified for a PU, it overrides what was specified for the LINE object.
If the BINDENTRY attribute is specified for a nonswitched LINE object or for a PU
object subordinate to a nonswitched line, all terminal LUs permanently subordinate to
that line or PU use that BIND image, unless the BINDENTRY attribute was specified
for a particular LU. If the BINDENTRY attribute is specified for a PU, the value for the
PU overrides what was specified for the line. If the line is to use switched floating PUs
and LUs, or if the PU is a switched floating PU, the BINDENTRY attribute value must
be specified in the ADD LU or ALTER LU command.
If a BINDENTRY parameter is specified in an ESS table entry, it overrides the
parameter specified in the ADD command.
If no BINDENTRY value is specified, a default BIND is sent. For more information, see
the SNAX/XF LU Network Services Manual.
The BINDENTRY name is a string of 1 through 8 alphanumeric or special characters
($, #, or @), enclosed in double quotes ("). BINDENTRY names can be specified in
uppercase or lowercase; SNAX/XF converts all lowercase letters to uppercase.
This attribute can be removed through the ALTER command by specifying a null string
(" ") as the value.
BINDTABLE
BINDTABLE specifies the name of a BIND table that has been created using the
SNAX/XF Utility (SNAXUTL), which is described in the SNAX/XF LU Network Services
Manual. The table contains the BIND image named in BINDENTRY, which is specified
as a LINE, PU, or LU attribute.
BINDTABLE is an optional attribute that is specified only for a primary line or its
subordinate PUs and LUs. For SNAX/APN, it applies only to LUs whose PROTOCOL
attribute is CRT or ITI: that is, acquired remote LUs. Valid values are any alphanumeric
or special character string of 1 through 8 characters; the string must not be enclosed in
quotes. The BIND table name is the name of the table as specified in the SETLOG
parameter of the SET table.
When the BINDTABLE attribute is specified for a nonswitched LINE object or a PU
object subordinate to a nonswitched line, all terminal LUs permanently subordinate to
that line or PU use that BIND image, unless the BINDTABLE attribute was specified for
a particular LU. If the BINDTABLE attribute is specified for a PU, the value for the PU
overrides what was specified for the line. If the line is to use switched floating PUs and
