CALLVALIDATE - for SNAX/XF Only
CALLVALIDATE - for SNAX/XF Only
CALLVALIDATE specifies the type of call validation to be performed on incoming calls
to the PU being configured. This attribute is valid only for PUs that use X.25 lines.
The options to CALLVALIDATE have the following meanings:
CALLVALIDATE has no meaning for PUs on a nonswitched line.
CDI
CDI specifies the method used to send the Change Direction Indicator (CDI). This
attribute allows you to specify whether the CDI is sent in the same outbound data
stream or in a separate RU. Sending the CDI in the same data stream reduces time
delay by eliminating the flow of an extra RU. If the destination LU is a terminal, sending
the CDI in the same data stream allows faster keyboard access.
For SNAX/APN, in ADD and ALTER commands, this attribute is meaningful only for
LUs whose PROTOCOL attribute is LOGON, CRT, ITI, or SNALU: that is, the
TLOGMGR LU and acquired remote LUs for terminals. When applied to the
TLOGMGR LU, this attribute is used for all remote LUs that the TLOGMGR creates.
Default: NONE
Value: BOTH | CALLADDR | CONNID | NONE
Objects: PU
BOTH indicates that the values specified in both the CALLADDR and
CONNID attributes are to be used for call validation. If you specify
BOTH, you must also specify the CALLADDR and CONNID
attributes. This value is valid only for PUs on X.25 lines.
CALLADDR specifies that the remote DTE network address (for X.25 lines) is to
be used to validate incoming callers. If you specify this value, you
must also specify the CALLADDR attribute.
CONNID specifies that the connection ID contained in the incoming call is to
be used for validation checking. If you specify this value for a
switched line, you must also specify the CONNID attribute for this
PU. This value is valid only for PUs on X.25 lines.
NONE specifies that no CALLADDR or CONNID validation checking is to be
performed during the call-in connection process.
Default: NORMAL
Value: NORMAL | ENHANCED | SPECIAL
