CREATOR
AS/400 systems: If the NonStop node is defined on the AS/400 system, the SCF
CPNAME attribute of the SUBSYS object must match the specification for the
RMTCPNAME in the AS/400 Controller Description.
PS/2 systems running OS/2: The SCF CPNAME attribute of the SUBSYS object
must match the Partner Node Name in the Configure Connection definition.
Systems using NCP and VTAM: For the parameters that correspond to CPNAME
and the circumstances under which they must match CPNAME, consult the IBM
documentation for the version and release of VTAM and NCP on your system.
CREATOR
CREATOR specifies the APPL object subdevice name associated with the SNAX
Creator or Creator-2 (LUNSCRE) application process. Alphabetic characters in the
name can be specified in uppercase or lowercase. SNAX converts all lowercase letters
to uppercase.
For SNAX/XF
This process uses the subdevice name specified in the CREATOR attribute when it
issues an open request to the service-manager process.
For SNAX/APN
The subdevice name specified for this attribute must match the subdevice-name part of
the APPL object name configured in an ADD APPL command for this SNAX/APN
subsystem. When prefixed with the system name, the APPL object name must also
match the subdevice (SU) name specified in the SNAX Creator-2 subsystem
configuration for the Creator-2 process to be used.
For SNAX/APN, the CREATOR attribute is valid only for the TLOGMGR LU—that is,
when the PROTOCOL attribute is set to LOGON. It is required for the TLOGMGR LU.
This attribute can be removed with the ALTER APPL command by specifying a null
string (" ") as the value. However, for SNAX/APN, note that you must have at least one
LU configured with this attribute (one TLOGMGR LU) if you are using the extended
logon facility (XLF) for logons from remote 3270 terminals.
Default: None
Value: String consisting of a pound sign (#) followed by 1 through 7
alphanumeric characters, the first of which must be alphabetic
