DIALTYPE
meaning for LUs that are subordinate to a secondary line. DEVTYPE is a required
attribute for all LUs to which it applies.
For SNAX/APN, DEVTYPE applies only to LUs whose PROTOCOL attribute is CRT or
ITI: that is, acquired remote LUs. For these LUs, DEVTYPE is a required attribute.
Table 14-1 shows the IBM device types and models that are supported by SNAX/XF.
The DEVTYPE value can be specified in uppercase or lowercase. SNAX/XF and
SNAX/APN convert all lowercase letters to uppercase. The DEVTYPE value can also
be surrounded by quotation marks, but this is not required. If quotation marks are used,
both the device type and the model number must be specified.
DIALTYPE
DIALTYPE specifies the type of calling or answering mechanism used by a switched
line. For SNAX/APN operation, the only valid value for the DIALTYPE attribute is IN.
The following values are valid for the DIALTYPE attribute:

Note. If DEVTYPE is specified as "6530-1", the terminal is expected to be in block mode when
it is started; therefore, the PROTOCOL attribute for the LU is automatically set to CRT.
Likewise, if DEVTYPE is specified as "6530-2", the terminal is expected to be in conversational
mode when it is started, and the PROTOCOL attribute is automatically set to ITI. In both
cases, any value explicitly specified for the PROTOCOL attribute is ignored.
Default: IN
Value: IN | INOUT | OUT
Objects: LINE
IN specifies that this line supports only incoming calls.
INOUT specifies that this line supports either incoming or outgoing calls. This
value is valid only for X.25 lines.
OUT specifies that this line supports only outgoing calls. This value is valid only
for X.25 lines.
