DUPLEX
DUPLEX
DUPLEX specifies whether a LINE object is to be a half- or full-duplex line. This
attribute applies only to line type 58,1. The following values are valid for this attribute:
DYNAMIC - for SNAX/APN Only
DYNAMIC specifies whether SNAX/APN can add a remote LU dynamically when it
receives a BIND request from an adjacent node. Note that the possible number of
dynamically added LUs is limited by the MAXLUS specification. When the total number
of configured LUs (both those added dynamically and those configured through SCF)
equals MAXLUS, attempts to add an LU dynamically will fail.
ERMODE - for SNAX/XF Only
ERMODE specifies the use of ER (exception response) mode. ERMODE is not valid
for the SNALU protocol and will be rejected by SNAX/XF if the protocol is SNALU.
ERMODE is valid only for a primary line and will be rejected if specified for an LU on a
secondary line.
Default: HALF
Value: FULL | HALF
Objects: LINE
FULL specifies that the line operates as a full-duplex line.
HALF specifies that the line operates as a half-duplex line.
Default: OFF
Value: ON | OFF
Objects: PU
Default: OFF
Value: OFF | OLDAPPL | NEWAPPL
Objects: LU
OFF specifies that this LU will send outbound LU-LU FMD requests in
definite response mode.
OLDAPPL specifies that this LU will be serviced primarily by applications that
existed before the exception response mode enhancement. All
outbound LU-LU FMD requests will be sent in exception response
mode. However, file error 122 is sent on a negative response, instead
of file error 951.
NEWAPPL specifies that this LU will be serviced primarily by applications using
exception response mode enhancement features. All outbound LU-LU
FMD requests will be sent in exception response mode. File error 951
is sent on a negative response.
