ESSTABLE - for SNAX/XF Only
ESSTABLE - for SNAX/XF Only
ESSTABLE specifies the name of an LU Network Services (LUNS) Enhanced System
Service (ESS) table. SNAX/XF searches an ESS table for an LU when the LU enters
an SNA character-coded command or sends an SNA INIT-SELF or TERM-SELF
command.
The ESS table name must be the name of an existing ESS record in the current LUNS
SET table. An ESS table name can be specified in uppercase or lowercase. SNAX/XF
converts all lowercase letters to uppercase.
There is no default value. However, if this attribute is not specified for an LU, and that
LU is permanently subordinate to a line or PU for which an ESSTABLE has been
specified, the permanently subordinate LU assumes the value of the ESSTABLE
specified for the LINE or PU object to which it is subordinate.
This default action is not true for switched floating LUs. For switched floating LUs, the
ESSTABLE attribute must be specified in an ADD or ALTER LU command.
If no ESSTABLE is specified on an ADD or ALTER command and an ESSTABLE was
specified using the SNAX Utility (SNAXUTL), then the ESSTABLE specified with
SNAXUTL becomes the default table. If no default ESSTABLE exists, the LU cannot
use LUNS.
This attribute can be removed through the ALTER command by specifying a null string
(" ") as the value.
FCSERRREPORTFREQ
FCSERRREPORTFREQ provides an option for the SNAX/XF or SNAX/APN line
handler to generate an EMS message for every nth occurrence of a Frame Check
Sequence (FCS) error if the attribute SUPFCSERRMSG is OFF. If the attribute
SUPFCSERRMSG is ON, the value of FCSERRREPORTFREQ is ignored. If the
attribute SUPFCSERRMSG is OFF, the value of FCSERRREPORTFREQ is set to the
value specified by the user.
The attribute token ZSX1-TKN-FCS-ERR-REPORT-FREQ is not sent in a reply to the
INFO LINE command if the line is not added.
