1 SNAX Quickstart and Overview
SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN are HP access methods, supporting Systems Network
Architecture (SNA) subarea networking and advanced peer-to-peer networking (APPN)
respectively. They share a common code base and in this manual are referred to jointly
as SNAX.

Configuration Quick Start
This section is a configuration quick start for the SNAX subsystem. This procedure
outlines how to set up SNAX on an HP NonStop S-series server.
To help you complete the configuration tasks quickly, this section recommends you
accept the default values provided by the SNAX subsystem. If you want to change your
SNAX configuration, or if you want to complete the initial configuration without using
the default configuration values, refer to the appropriate sections of this manual.

Assumptions
At the beginning of the procedure, the NonStop S-series server is in the following state:
Default software configuration as shipping by manufacturing.
Initial TSM configuration complete.
