SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN Configuration and Management Manual

Attributes for SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN
SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN Configuration and Management Manual425836-006
14-32
LOCALSNANAME–SNAX/APN Only
This attribute is valid in ADD and ALTER commands and required only when
PROTOCOL is defined as CRT, ITI, or SNALU, or when configured for acquired remote
LUs created by the TLOGMGR. Because no local LU is configured on the NonStop
system when SNAX/APN is used to acquire devices, both the SNANAME and the
LOCALSNANAME attributes must be configured for an acquired remote LU.
PROTOCOL CRT or ITI
The LOCALSNANAME attribute is required. The configured name for the LU
should match the name configured on the corresponding remote PU; the value
must be equal to the LU name under the PU definition statement that represents
this node type 2.1 in the host system generation.
PROTOCOL CRT or ITI (ELF template LUs)
When you configure template LUs for use with ELF, LOCALSNANAME must match
the c-pluname specification of the APPL object created for the CRT or ITI
application when you configure Creator-2. The c-pluname represents the
particular application to be accessed. Thus, if LOCALSNAME in the SNAX/APN
configuration specifies mytacl, the corresponding APPL object in the Creator-2
configuration would be:
ADD APPL $crea.c-mytacl, METHOD TACL
(For more information about Creator-2 configuration, see the SNAX Creator-2
Configuration and Control Manual.)
PROTOCOL SNALU
The LOCALSNANAME attribute is required, and must be unique in the network.
The LOCALSNANAME is applicable when either the PLU or SLU initiates a
session.
PLU acquire: If the application that opens the SNALU LU does not set the PLU
name in the BIND request, the LOCALSNANAME is used as the default PLU
name.
SLU accept: The line handler matches the configured LOCALSNANAME with
the SLU name in the received BIND request. LOCALSNANAME is used by the
line-handler process to determine which opener will be sent a received BIND.
SLU acquire: LOCALSNANAME is used as the SLU name in the PROGRAM
START request that the line handler sends as a result of an INIT-SELF request
received from an application.
PLU accept: The line handler matches the configured LOCALSNANAME with
the PLU name in the received PROGRAM START request. LOCALSNANAME
must also match the DLUNAME in the INIT-SELF request, or the APPLID in
the character-coded logon from the remote LU that initiated the logon.
PLU accept (ELF): The service manage matches the configured
LOCALSNANAME with the PLU name specified in the CDINIT request.
