NONSNACA - for SNAX/APN Only
value is not specified on an ADD or ALTER LU command for the LU. Switched floating
LUs do not acquire the default specified for the subordinating line or PU. For switched
floating LUs, the NOACQ attribute must be specified in an ADD or ALTER LU
command.
NONSNACA - for SNAX/APN Only
NONSNACA specifies whether a remote LU in the SNA subarea network is controlled
by a non-SNA cluster controller attached to an IBM channel. This attribute is valid only
when PROTOCOL is defined as CRT or ITI.
NUMBEROFLUS
NUMBEROFLUS is a modifier for the ADD LU command that specifies the total
number of LUs to be added in a single ADD LU command. NUMBEROFLUS is used to
significantly reduce configuration time, CPU usage, and maintenance of configuration
files.
This modifier can be used only with the SCF ADD LU command, and cannot be
specified using the ALTER LU or INFO LU commands. NUMBEROFLUS applies only
to LUs for which the PU type is 1 or 2 and does not apply to PU type 2.1. (Although
NUMEROFLUS can be specified in an ADD LU command for SNAX/APN, the only
valid value is 1.)
This feature is used whenever multiple LUs under a single PU share identical attribute
values except for their names and addresses, provided the names and addresses are
numerically ascending.
The naming convention for LUs when using the NUMBEROFLUS attribute includes two
parts. The first part of the name always begins with a pound sign (#), followed by a
non-numeric character. The last part of the name contains contiguous trailing decimal
digits, and may be null. The maximum length of a generated LU name cannot exceed
8 characters.
Given a root name and address specified in the ADD LU command, SNAX/XF
generates names and addresses for the remaining NUMBEROFLUS, minus 1. LU
