PUIDBLK (LINE Objects) - for SNAX/APN Only
PUIDBLK (LINE Objects) - for SNAX/APN Only
When applied to a LINE object, PUIDBLK specifies the identification block of the local
link station on the NonStop system. Together, the PUIDBLK and PUIDNUM attributes
are used in link station role negotiation and can be used in Exchange Identification
(XID) validation.
When the STATION attribute of the line is specified as NEGOTIABLE, the values
contained in PUIDBLK and PUIDNUM are used for role negotiation when an XID
Format 3 (XID3) frame is sent to the adjacent node.
LOGON specifies the interface the SNAX Creator-2 application and the
SNAX/APN service manager use to communicate after the SNAX
Creator-2 has issued the open request to the process. When
PROTOCOL LOGON is specified, the LU is a TLOGMGR LU and
the CREATOR attribute must also be specified.
When PROTOCOL LOGON is specified, the SNAX Creator-2
application can initiate sessions for acquired LUs and the LUs
dynamically created by the TLOGMGR. The TLOGMGR always
creates LUs that have a protocol specification of ITI. Applications
can issue a SETMODE 8 to switch the protocol to block mode
(CRT). In the INFO command, however, the protocol specification
for these LUs always appears as ITI.
NAM‘ specifies the Network Access Method (NAM) that allows Expand to
connect across SNA networks.
PRT specifies that the LU uses the standard IBM 3270 print protocol.
PRT corresponds to LU-LU session type 1 or 3.
SNALU specifies that the SNALU interface protocol is used. All LUs on
secondary lines must use this protocol. LUs on primary lines that
use the standard 3270 interface protocols can use this protocol.
When SNALU is specified, the application on the NonStop system
controls the SNA flows to all SNA devices or host-resident
applications and determines the LU-LU session type.
SNAXLUXS is the default interface that the SNAX/APC process uses to
communicate with SNAX/APN.
Note. If the DEVTYPE attribute for the LU is specified as "6530-1", the terminal is expected to
be in block mode when it is started; therefore, the PROTOCOL attribute is automatically set to
CRT. Likewise, if the DEVTYPE attribute is specified as "6530-2", the terminal is expected to
be in conversational mode when it is started, and the PROTOCOL attribute is automatically set
to ITI. In both cases, any value explicitly specified for the PROTOCOL attribute is ignored.
