Task Two: Configure WAN Subsystem Objects For
SNAX
2: Add the X25AM Devices
Before you add any X25AM devices, you need to verify that all processes, profiles, and
the SWAN concentrator have been added and started.
To add an X25AM device, you need to know the SWAN ID, CLIP number, and the line
number. Also, you to verify that you have the following X25AM files:
$system.sysnn.x25obj
$system.cssnn.c109p00
You can create one or more line devices with the ADD DEVICE command as follows:
ADD DEVICE $ZZWAN.#x25p1,CPU 0,ALTCPU 1,PROFILE profx25,&
IOPOBJECT $SYSTEM.sys00.x25objr,TYPE (61,63),&
RECSIZE 150,CLIP 3,LINE 0,ADAPTER S00,PATH A,&
PROGRAM $SYSTEM.sys00.c1096p00
ADD DEVICE $ZZWAN.#x25s1,CPU 0,ALTCPU 1,PROFILE profx25,&
IOPOBJECT $SYSTEM.sys00.x25objr,TYPE (61,63),&
RECSIZE 150,CLIP 3,LINE 0,ADAPTER S00,PATH A,&
PROGRAM $SYSTEM.sys00.c1096p00
For additional information on ADD DEVICE attributes and values, see the ServerNet
Communications Configuration and Management Manual.
3: Start the X25AM Line
After adding the X25AM profile and devices, issue the SCF START command to the
WAN Manager subsystem to start the devices, using the following commands:
SCF>START DEVICE $ZZWAN.#X25p1
SCF>START DEVICE $ZZWAN.#X25s1
Once the line exists in the MIB (as a DEVICE object) and has been started for the first
time, you can start, stop, and change the line directly through the X25AM subsystem
as follows:
SCF>START DEVICE #X25p1
SCF>START DEVICE #X25s1
4: Add X25AM Subdevices
Now that the X25AM device/line is added under the WAN Manager subsystem, you
can proceed to adding the subdevices required using the X25AM subsystem.
Task Two: Configure WAN Subsystem Objects For SNAX
Add WAN subsystem PROFILE and DEVICE objects for the SNAX service manager
processes and SNAX line handler processes. For more information, see Section 2,
WAN Subsystem Objects for SNAX Processes
