REQDISCONTTYPE
REQDISCONTTYPE
REQDISCONTTYPE determines whether a PU on a switched line is to be shut down in
an orderly manner before the line is disconnected.
This attribute is valid only for PUs subordinate to switched lines.
REQMS - for SNAX/XF Only
REQMS specifies whether maintenance statistics can be obtained from the controller.
This attribute applies only to PUs on secondary lines; it has no meaning when
specified for PUs attached to primary lines. If REQMS ON is specified, SNAX/XF
responds to an ACTPU request from the IBM host with an ACTPU response—vector 7.
The vector 7 means that SNAX/XF supports the IBM REQMS functions.
RETRIES
When specified for a primary lines, RETRIES indicates the number of times a PU must
retry a transmit operation after the first READ or AUTOPOLL time-out. When the
RETRIES limit is reached, SNAX/XF or SNAX/APN declares the remote PU to be
inoperative and terminates all sessions.
When specified for a secondary line, RETRIES indicates the number of times the
secondary line issues another READ command to the hardware in an attempt to get a
valid SDLC frame from the host. When the RETRIES limit is reached, SNATS declares
the host to be inoperative and terminates all sessions.
Default: IMMEDIATE
Value: IMMEDIATE | NORMAL
Objects: PU
IMMEDIATE specifies that when the line is to be disconnected, the PU is shut
down immediately. All active LU-LU sessions are terminated before
the PU is shut down.
NORMAL specifies that when the line is to be disconnected, the PU is shut
down in an orderly manner: that is, the LUs are stopped before the
PU is stopped. LUs engaged in active sessions are not stopped
until the sessions complete.
Default: OFF
Value: ON | OFF
